· TPDL 2027Venice

The website of TPDL 2027, the 31st International Conference on Theory and Practice of Digital Libraries, is online at tpdl2027.dei.unipd.it. The conference takes place on San Servolo Island, Venice, from 27 to 29 September 2027, co-located with ADBIS 2027, the European Conference on Advances in Databases and Information Systems. The University of Padua and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice organize the two conferences.

TPDL 2027 opens two tracks. The qualitative track addresses the digital humanities, cultural heritage and library and archival practice. The quantitative track addresses the computer science of digital libraries, from information retrieval and knowledge graphs to infrastructures and evaluation. Papers go to one track and the two tracks share a single programme and a single proceedings volume.

The dates below are tentative and the website carries the current version.

  • Workshop proposals: 20 February 2027
  • Abstract registration: 2 April 2027
  • Paper submission: 9 April 2027
  • Conference: 27–29 September 2027

San Servolo is a small island in the Venetian lagoon, ten minutes by water bus from San Marco. Its residence accommodates more than 150 participants on site, so the conference, the accommodation and the social programme share one place.
